Alligator Ashtrays

My grandmother
had alligator ashtrays
(made of baby alligators,
I'm pretty sure,
circling a sea shell)
that I let my little men
wrestle with
sort of like Tarzan
and the crocodiles.
Sometimes the gator won,
sometimes my little men.
Gram smoked her cigarettes
and watched
the METS on TV
through thick
Coke bottle glasses.
